I got my high school diploma from NODET (National Organization for Development of Exceptional Talent), Tehran, Iran, in 1991. I obtained my Medical Diploma from TUMS (Tehran University of Medical Sciences) in 1998. I worked as a general practitioner and researcher for 2 years in North Iran, Gilan. I studied Neuroscience at McGill University, Montreal, Canada from 2001 to 2005. Subsequently, I worked as a post-doc fellow at MVRU (McGill Vision Research Unit), Department of Ophthalmology, at Professor Hess lab. Using psychophysics and fMRI, I am studying vision and normal functioning of the human brain, with specific focus on the visual cortical deficit that is responsible for amblyopia. Currently, I am working as a Neurology Resident at the Health Sciences Center (HSC), University of Manitoba.
